The course provides the theoretical and practical knowledge to effectively and efficiently manage a first aid emergency and make a correct intervention call to the 118 service. With the BLS practical module the technique is acquired to perform a correct cardiac massage for support a worker suffering from cardio respiratory arrest.
Introduction; organization of the rescue system; scene assessment (safety); patient evaluation; outline of anatomy and physiology of the system: circulatory, respiratory, nervous and skeleton; the traumatic event (general, head trauma, spine trauma, thoraco-abdominal trauma, fractures and complication); electrocution and burns; hypothermia; intoxication and poisoning; dressing and control of bleeding, disinfectants, contact with harmful substances.
Presentation of the course; classroom lesson (angina and myocardial infarction, technical objectives and BLS sequences: basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation, airway obstruction; convulsions; shock); group training (BLS techniques; one and two rescuers sequence; airway clearing maneuvers; lateral safety position).
